“During Sep-May 24/25, Ukraine increased the volume of vegoil export by 27% y/y to 5.7 MMT. This includes three vegoils: sunoil, rapeseed oil and soyoil. Biggest share of vegoils was transhipped via shallow ports - 2.23 MMT, +37% y/y. This is due to the fact that main destinations of Ukrainian sunoil this year were via barges to Constanta, Romania and via coasters to Turkey. Each of these destinations took about 1/3 of Ukrainian vegoils”, said Christina Serebriakova, CEO of ASAP Agri within the ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION on 14 June at Sevilla VegOils&Meals Trade conference.
At the same time, if to talk about the biggest jump in transportation via routes, it was seen on the volumes, shipped by land – 43% annual increase to 1.79 MMT (mainly to Poland and Netherlands).
Corridor ports showed only 12% y/y increase in Ukrainian vegoil transshipment in Sep-May 23/24 to 1.69 MMT with India and Spain as main destinations.
